About Fulton, KY - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Fulton, KY is the quintessential American hometown. The people in the area are rooted in tradition but also embrace change and the modern way of life. There are many fun traditions and events in the area to check out. As a matter of fact, the nearby community of South Fulton is the home of the International Banana Festival. It seems strange to many to have such a festival in this part of the country because the weather in the area is not conducive to banana farming but Fulton, KY is sometimes called “The Banana Capital of the World.” The climate in this part of the nation is moderate with cool winters and warm summers but is certainly not tropical. The winters can be cold and snowy while the summers are often hot. But, bananas have been traveling into town on ice for decades now. Believe it or not, at one point in time, the majority of the bananas that were eaten in America had passed through Fulton.

The University of Tennessee at Martin, located nearby, runs a large experimental farm and was named “A Best Southeastern College” by The Princeton Review. It is largely focused on agriculture but is also a good choice for those interesting in studying education, nursing and more. This region is perfect for farming programs and education because of its mild climate but other programs at the university are certainly worthy of some consideration. If nothing else, you should simply tour the campus because of its reputation for beautiful landscaping. Springtime is particularly beautiful on the campus.

Another interesting and educational site to check out is Discovery Park, in nearby Union City. A large entertainment facility and children’s museum, it is a great way to encourage your kids to get interested and excited about learning. Featuring exhibits related to a wide variety of topics, this facility was built with the hope of sparking an interest in learning in both kids and adults. This is a great place to visit on a cold, winter day when the kids are antsy with cabin fever.
