About Union City, TN - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Union City, a small town with a population between 10,000 and 11,000, is the county seat of Obion County in Northwestern, Tennessee.  It got its name from being the meeting point of two railroads, one of which ran north to south and the other which ran east to west.  It is best known, historically, for being the site of a small American Civil War battle.  Its climate is generally moderate and the city experiences seasons along with the rest of the region: cold winters with small amounts of snow and hot summers with highs in the upper 80’s.

This city has been a manufacturing town for many years and, over the decades, many companies have had factories here.  Goodyear Tire was located in Union City until 2011.  However, when it left, it was replaced by many other corporations such as Tyson, Kohler, Lennox and more who built manufacturing centers in this small town.  It also has a minor league baseball team, The Dodgers (formerly the Greyhounds), who play in the warm summer months of June and July.

Enjoyable outdoor family activities for the warmer summer months include: Lake Isom National Wildlife Refuge which features 1,850 acres of bird habitat, Grassy Island Auto Tour with trails for hiking and lakes for boating and the Great River Road Trail which runs along the Mississippi on the border of Tennessee.   In the cooler months check out the Discovery Park, a large entertainment and education center which features exhibits related to science, history and more.  They also have concerts and other events periodically.
